14TH SIGNAL CORPS COMPANY


     (
64) Although the 14th Signal Corps Company was a United States organization, it was composed of Indiana men and is accounted for as an Indiana organization.

     Under an act of Congress, the President commissioned Captain MaeIntire to raise a company for the Signal Corps, which he did, the company being completed July 7, 1898, and, leaving Indianapolis the same day, arrived at Washington, D. C., July 9 Left Washington July 29 for Camp Cuba Libre, Jacksonville, Florida, where they arrived July 31. Under orders for muster out, the company left Camp Cuba Libre on September 14 and arrived at Camp Mount on September 16. The company was furloughed for thirty days from September 18, and was finally mustered out and discharged October 31, 1898.
