Company F was the last company mustered in and is composed of a fine appearing body of men from Wyandotte and Port Huron. It bears the same letter as the old Port Huron company of the Michigan National Guard and the Port Huron company of the 33d Michigan Volunteer Infantry.

     Captain John M. Gleason is a lawyer of Port Huron and has had much military experience, having served in the Third Infantry, Michigan State Troops as private, corporal and sergeant, and also in the Third Infantry of the Michigan National Guard. He came to camp as first lieutenant of the company and succeeded Captain Atkinson who was commissioned major. Captain Gleason is well qualified for a captaincy and ably sustains Port Huron's fine military reputation.

     Horace Fenn Sykes of Wyandotte was promoted from sergeant of the company to first lieutenancy. He is a graduate of the Wyandotte high school and Orchard Lake, although he is but 19 years of age. He is a very competent officer.

     Bertram J. Bishop, second lieutenant, was born in Chicago, Ill., and lived in the west until 1890, since which time he has been a resident of Wyandotte. He attended the University of Michigan and various other institutes. He organized and was captain of the Wyandotte Guards and is a capable lieutenant.
