COMPANY G

      Company G comprises men from Van Buren and Cass counties and the southwestern part of the state. The company is well disciplined and in good condition in every way.

CAPT. NATHAN F. SIMPSON

     Captain Nathan F. Simpson is an insurance man from Decatur. The company was originally organized by him and called the Simpson Irish Guards. His men show the effects of fine training which is the best of evidence that he possesses all the requisites of an efficient officer.

FIRST LIEUT.. HARRY W. BUSH

     First Lieutenant Harry W. Bush of Kalamazoo enlisted in Company C, Second Regiment in 1880, filling every office in turn from private to lieutenant. He is a very capable officer and a good example of the right man in the right place.

SECOND LIEUT. BRET H. CROCKETT

     Bert H. Crockett, second lieutenant, is a lawyer from Decatur. He has had good military training, having served four years in the Illinois National Guards and is a most able and popular officer.
