Company
H is from Gratiot, Midland, Clare and Isabella counties and
comprises a fine looking set of men who are said to possess the
respectful demeanor characteristic of the regular army and to
give a great deal of attention to the details of discipline.
Captain
John L. Thorburn of Midland is a man of much military experience
having been in the regular army, and has made a record not only
in drilling but in caring for his men, with whom he is very
popular.
