This booklet is from the State of Nebraska, Department of Public Instruction in Lincoln. It covers the time frame from 1925-1926. Carole and Ted Miller who anyone who has surfed the Memorial Library in the Nebraska Section knows how hard they have worked to get data on line for the researchers of this time frame.

Alumnus - June 1925
(one issue)
Another addition by Ted & Carole Miller, getting depressed they are sooooo far ahead of me in book transcription, but then it is better for you all...<g> Booklet includes notes from assorted classes. Section of marriages, births & deaths; ten bios of prominent graduates; survey results (own a Hupmobile?); (Pam note...a brand of car of the time) summary of the school year. Reports on athletic activity, changes in staff, condition of buildings, Ivy Day, graduation address, etc. Terrific amount of genealogical information on about 45 pages. Every name index added - column was 17 pages long until formatted for the web page. Don't know where Pam Rietsch found this one - hope everybody will dig around and find more NE Alumnus! This particular issue is Volume XXI, no 6. Looks like they produced 10 issues per year. We'd be delighted to post more copies. Please let us know if anything doesn't load, isn't properly linked. Enjoy!

Fifty Years: A History of
the College of Agriculture
of the
University of Nebraska
This book transcribed by Ted & Carole Miller, the dynamic duo that does work for the library probably 20 hours a day, unless there is tennis on and then Ted watches that for about 2 hours, while still scanning of course. Haven't found what slows down Carole yet except maybe her great grandson who likes to push the buttons on her computer to amuse her. <g> It was published in 1925 authored by Robert P. Crawford. It includes175 pages of history, 9 photos and an all name index. The early university, those involved in agricultural & mechanical education, financial struggles, federal programs, farmer's institutes, Experiment Stations, county agents, etc.
