     1 Experience Estabrook removed from office May 18, 1860. Seat filled by contestant, Samuel G. Daily.
     2 J. Sterling Morton elected October 9, 1860. Six months later Governor Black without any recanvass issued certificate of election to Samuel C. Daily who had months before contested Mr. Morton's right to seat in Congress. Contest was never decided but Mr. Daily held the seat under the second certificate.
