The original idea of the publisher was to make The Review as complete as possible but lack of time and space to say nothing of the heavy expense in getting out the publication makes it impossible, so we have confined our efforts to the business interests of the town, and that is not complete as many of the business institutions that should have been represented are not here. We have, endeavored, however, to do the best we could under the circumstances and trust that our efforts have not been in vain for we feel certain that so far as it goes this souvenir is quite representative of the town. In closing, we have to say that at some future time it is our intention to issue another edition of The Review which will contain a more detailed history of Madison and Madison county while the photographic views will be devoted to the residence portion of our beautiful city and the many handsome farm homes in this section with many interesting farm scenes. As this is our first attempt at anything of this kind, we trust the public will overlook its imperfections.
