NEW YORK SELECTIONS

Genealogical & Family History OF Northern NY

This is the beginning part on a great NY History series that includes Northern, Southern & Central NY areas. This first section has just been completed by the team of Holice Young & Deb Axtman. They have worked for years on this multiple book set that I happened on at an estate sale. I was not physically able to start it at the time and so they agreed to do so. I feel genealogists researching in NY will soon be very happy. This will answer a lot of questions for those searching NY history. It includes history, biographies & genealogy.

THE HISTORY OF NEW YORK STATE,
FROM ITS BEGINNINGS UNTIL 1927

The most definitive work on NY History out there has just been completed by the team of Holice Young & Deb Axtman. They have worked for years on this multiple book set that I happened on at an estate sale. I was too chicken to start the huge set, so they agreed to do it, which I feel genealogists researching in NY will soon be very happy. This will answer a lot of questions for those searching NY history. It includes history, biographies & genealogy.

The History of New York State published by Lewis Historical Publishing Company, Inc., 1927. It consists of six volumes of data (over 3000 pages) which should keep you using both search engines for a long time <g> Now if I can convince them to do the IA, MI & NE same series?

King's Handbook of New York City

This History of New York City was published by Moses King and presented by the New York Underwriter's Agency in 1892. I have not had time to transcribe the entire book but a researcher asked for a specific biography of Eberhard Faber so I did that one and hope to get to the others eventually.

The History of New York FIRE Department

This History of New York Fire Department gives the researcher an eye into how they worked and what life was at that time.

In Memory to those valiant and brave firefighters of New York City, who saved many lives at the cost of their own, on
September 11, 2001, in New York.
