BEUGNIOT'S GOODS ENGINE, BY KOECHLIN, 1860

     

    

     Messrs. Koechlin of Mulhouse, made two engines upon M. Beugniot's plans in 1860, which were for some time worked upon the Paris, Lyons and Mediterranean Railway.

     The principal dimensions were as follows--

     Cylinders 21¼"x22" stroke, diameter of drivers 3'11¼", total heating surface 1861½ square feet, weight of engine 46 tons 11¼ cwt., total weight of engine and tender 69¾ tons.
