WORLD SELECTIONS

PICTORIAL HISTORY
OF THE LOCOMOTIVE 1771-1899

This is a neat book that has been sitting on my bookshelves begging for its turn to be added to the Memorial Library. Finally I could not resist it any longer. The etchings and descriptions of all of the various locomotives are wonderful. Learning about each as I typed and now knowing probably more than I need to know about the size of cylinders and train wheels. I did add an all name index though I must admit I am not sure which names are people's names and or place names in some cases. To lessen the download time I did split the page images into two pieces so there would not be so much white space to wait for. I also transcribed the script into text so search engines could catch the various bits of information. Enjoy your ride on the rails...

The 1892 Gardiner's Atlas
of English History

88 Maps including 20 maps of Historic Battles
index coming someday........A is complete

I recently redid this whole atlas resizing all of the maps so they load considerably faster and also spiffed up this book that I put on line several years ago. I have just been notified that a part of this atlas will soon be on display in King's Guard Chamber at Hampton Court Palace in England during their spring festival. Another way to teach children which I always love!
